5. Go Apple Picking at Chudleigh’s

Apple picking at Chudleigh's apple farm

What says fall better than going apple picking? This is a great family activity for children of all ages. One great orchard for apple picking is Chudleigh’s Farm.

This farm first started operating in 1967. The people at Chudleigh’s wanted families who lived in the city to be able to taste the country life and enjoy some delicious apples along the way. They currently have expanded their farm to a local 110,000 square foot bakery, just down the road from the family farm, where they are making desserts for customers with the food grown on their property.

At this orchard, there is more to enjoy than just apple picking. There are various activities for the kids to enjoy, making it a full-day family outing. From sand pits, to a hay maze, to farm animals, to wagon rides, there is something for everyone.

Here’s a helpful tip when going apple picking. Make sure you get out an Apple Picking Calendar before visiting an orchard to ensure your favourite apples are available for picking.

There is so much to do this Fall in Halton Hills. So why not go outside and enjoy what nature has to offer?
